Punjab Business Portal – Digital Transformation & Enterprise Architecture

Objective definition 

The Punjab Government aimed to modernize its G2B (Government-to-Business) services through a unified Punjab Business Portal. The existing system lacked integration, had fragmented digital services, and was not optimized for user experience. There was a need for a future-proof enterprise architecture, streamlined user journeys, and an enhanced technology landscape to improve efficiency, transparency, and ease of doing business in Punjab.

As a strategic partner on the program, our approach was as follows:

  1. Enterprise Architecture Framework – Assessed the current-state enterprise architecture, identifying gaps and inefficiencies. Developed a future-state model aligned with global best practices.
  2. Global Benchmarking – Evaluated business portals from Estonia, India, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia, identifying key design principles and governance models to integrate into Punjab’s framework.
  3. Persona Mapping & User Journey Design – Conducted detailed persona analysis across government, business owners, and regulatory bodies. Designed user journey maps to streamline business registrations, licensing, and compliance workflows.
  4. Figma-Based Prototype Development – Created a clickable Figma prototype demonstrating the user experience flow, allowing stakeholders to visualize the end-to-end journey before full-scale development.
  5. Technology & Operating Model Assessment – Evaluated the existing technology landscape, assessing scalability, interoperability, and system limitations. Analyzed the operating model, identifying pain points in governance, workflows, and service delivery.
  6. Future-State Technology & Operating Model Design – Developed a to-be technology architecture, integrating APIs, data exchange layers, and automation to enhance service delivery. Defined a modernized operating model to align governance structures with digital service delivery.

  • Delivered a persona-driven, intuitive user experience framework through a Figma-based prototype.
  • Established a scalable, integrated technology landscape for seamless G2B service delivery.
